Party update: Queering Athena

Beantown is a small town as far as queer crowd goes. We have a regular round of 'Go out on gay scene' people who have in some sorta way slept with every other, or slept with someone who has slept with someone who has slept with the other guy. It would be a dream come true for Alice to connect the dots on her six degrees of sex-aration. Who the bleep is Alice? you ask. Well chippies, she’s the smartass dyke from L-Word (the girly version of QAF)

The personals websites have been fabulous in bringing the guys on the same platform to checkout, meet up & um-er. But we know what a downer it can be with only the faceless, grammarless, "I am a down to earth" bozos PM-ing you all the darn time. Luckily enough, few years ago, Bangalore got a party scene that made the face-to-face scene a real possibility. Scorus has done to us beantown boys what would entitle him to the post of St. Nick.

Last Sunday, the 3rd of June, was one such queer party. It wasn’t any other party. It was at *roll of drums* Athena, Leela Galleria! And what a party it was! Fabulous place, great music, 4 good drinks & a packed house to rub your sweaty shoulders with. Just about the best way to start off a month. In the previous parties there has been some issue to bicker about, but this party really pulled it all together… Look at the venue – it won’t get no better or bigger or more la di dah than Leela! So all you Party-Square troopers, Scorus has definitely squared you off this time. Hope your I-Bar trick will give us more to cheer about. But one thing’s for sure. Party Square have brought back the zing into the beantown queer party scene. Go girls! Keep them..uh..comin?
